Performance = Focus & Confidence

As Blur once said... "Woo Hoo!"

School of Rock has been getting kids and adults inspired about music for over a decade.  We have consistently been at the cutting edge of music education and rock performance, reflecting our commitment to training and mentoring NZ's most exciting up-and-coming musicians.

Our Rock Band Programme for teenagers has been custom designed to foster NZ's next generation of music industry leaders.  It features one and a half hour weekly practices mentored by professional musicians, songwriting, performance skill coaching, state-of-the-art rehearsal rooms, exclusive access to masterclasses and workshops with music industry experts, national touring for selected bands, and playing covers and originals at the biggest and best gigs in Auckland backed by professional PA's and trained sound engineers.

School of Rock's one-on-one music lessons are customised to get students of all ages excited about achieving their full potential and helping them realise that playing music can be more than just a hobby.  Whether you want to master drums, guitar, bass guitar, vocals, piano, keyboard, or saxophone, School of Rock offers expert music tuition. We were the first music school in NZ to offer Trinity Rock School exams back in 2003, and we also have expertise in practical and theory exam preparation.

Our School Holiday Programmes are designed for beginning primary school students as well as more experienced intermediate school students who want to play in a rock band.  Younger kids discover that buzz of confidence by learning to play a cool rock instrument and play in a rock band, while older students are mentored in a mini-version of our year-long Rock Band Programme.

School of Rock's annual year-end Rock Camp offers experienced teenaged musicians and bands the opportunity to join 100 other teenagers for an awesome week of nothing but rock. Since its start in 2005, RockCamp has been held all over New Zealand and has become famous for giving young musicians professional rock training and an opportunity to make musical connections that will last a lifetime.   With professional mentors and famous musicians attending as VIP guests, kids get a chance to really get  a taste of what the New Zealand music scene is about.  Check out www.rockcamp.co.nz for more.
